“When you think what an office without women would be today, it’s hard to believe that until the typewriter was invented, women had no place in the business office.”

Thankful to be more than a typewriter and a pleasant voice.

  1. We have an etiquette and proper dress pamphlet at work from that era. It’s AMAZING what was ALLOWED for women. When I first told people I was pregnant one of the men who had been there forever told me the policy used to be that you had to stop working when you started showing. I can’t imagine.
