Happy Valentine’s Day

This is the fifth Valentine’s Day that Jim and I have spent together, and the last before we’re married. 2007 was the first – we had a “non-date” and went hiking, because I chickened out of going on a real date to dinner. Fortunately, I got my head screwed on straight, and it’s been smooth sailing ever since.

I am so blessed to share my life with such an amazing and fulfilling partner. He knows me better than I know myself, and still gives me butterflies. I never knew love could be so good.

I came home tonight to an incredible homemade dinner: homemade grilled meatloaf on fresh grilled sourdough with cheese and homemade bbq sauce, served with salad and homemade mashed potatoes. Dessert? A grilled s’more cake! Yes, this goodness does exist, and includes caramelized bananas inside. I am a lucky lady.
