grat·i·tude/ˈgratəˌt(y)o͞od/ The quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.
I generally like to just post quotes on Wednesdays, and leave the interpretation alone, but no such luck today. You see I’d been planning to post this quote all week, and I’m planning to read this book, and all in all I’ve become kind of obsessed with the idea of embracing gratitude.
And then after watching Happythankyoumoreplease tonight, it all came together. Holy amazing.
The movie gave me a jumpy kind of hopeful feeling that I can only compare to the way my dog acts when he sees me put my tennis shoes on and envisions the possibility of a walk. I was the jumpy dog – so energized by the way this movie illustrates life.
I wish I’d seen this during awkward stages of high school. It would’ve made me feel ok with myself and helped me understand that dating losers won’t help you be happy or cool.
This movie made me feel emotionally awake. Think Garden State or Juno.
Watch it. Thank you. More please.
